MALAYSIAN LEGEND

What is Legend? Legend is a story from ancient times about places or events that may or may not be true. This legends is about ‘HANG TUAH’.

Hang Tuah  Bin Mahmud , as known as Hang Tuah person who everyone respect the most. We are pleased to tell the story about this towering Malay who had shaped the history of the Melaka Sultanate and became the source of inspiration to thousands of people.

Hang Tuah was a humble Malay young guy. An ‘Orang Laut’ to be exact. Son of Hang Mahmud and his mother's Dang Merdu Wati. Born in Bentan, his family migrated to Sungai Duyung, Melacca when Hang Tuah was still a toddler. He had lived through the reigns of 6 Sultans – Sultan Muhammad Shah, Raja Ibrahim, Sultan Muzaffar Shah, Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan Alauddin Riayat Shah and died during the reign of Sultan Mahmud Shah. He was born in the mid 1430′s. During his childhood Hang Tuah has four very close friends. They are Hang Jebat, Hang Lekir, Hang Lekiu and Hang Kasturi. Hang Jebat’s sister had just married Bentara Hamzah Datuk Bongkok. Hamzah was recently appointed as Bentara in the new Sultan’s court.Through the advice of Hamzah, this five loyalty friends to went to Gunung Ledang to learn martial arts from his former mentor, Sang Adiputra. They stayed there for 2 years. Their master, Sang Adiputra said that Hang Jebat would have been a greater warrior than  Hang Tuah but his own recklessness will be his downfall. Hang Jebat was clearly a stronger warrior than  Hang Tuah. But he was impatient at times and where  Hang Tuah lack in strength, he made it up with tremendous agility and cunning. Thus, a stronger warrior does not mean a better one. That's why their master have been appointed Hang Tuah has a leader among others. Sang Adiputra told Hang  Jebat to listen to Hang Tuah and never doubt his actions. To Hang Tuah, he advised him to be sincere and serve Melacca as he sees fit. Above all, he wanted all of us to take good care of each other.

The keris owned by Hang Tuah was called Taming Sari. It was special in that it was made of twenty types of iron - supposedly metal left over from the forging of the bolts of the Ka'aba. It was said that Taming Sari could do Hang Tuah's fighting for him - if Hang Tuah were menaced or in any way endangered, the keris would leap out of its sheath all by itself, fly through the air and attack the assailant, moving in the air whichever way the assailant dodged or turned, until it hit its mark. The whole of the 'sampir' and 'batang' are covered in gold leaf, making it a 'keris gabus' or 'keris terapang'. It still exists today and is part of the regalia of DYMM Sultan Azlan Shah, Sultan Perak Darul Ridzuan

FAMILY DAY
What can we do in Family Day? We can play some games likes three-legged race, sack race and tug of war.

PARENTS” Its such a beautiful and Caring word. Every Person is lucky to have Loving and Caring Parents. Parents are very important in our life. The most important, Secure and solid pillar of our life. They teach and influence us to do right things, to go right path and many more things. In our life, our parents seems to be like a god for us. They fulfill our all needs and willing. They are with us and support us in any phrase of life. They sacrifices so many things for us , why they do this ? Because they love us so much. Parents always know that their children better than anyone else. But some of the people never understand the importance of parents in their life.
There’s an old saying that goes: families that play together, stay together. We all know that quality time with our family is paramount in building stronger relationships. Building forts, sharing stories, and just being together makes a difference in all of your lives. Family time builds confidence, teaches children about interacting with others, and create wonderful memories that last a lifetime. The following are the top three benefits of family time:
First and foremost is the bonding itself. Spending time together helps to form lasting connections between family members. If you can’t be with them for hours upon hours, attempt to make the most of your time when you are together. This includes putting down your phone and stepping away from the computer.
Secondarily, studies show that when families spend quality time together, the chance of children getting involved in dangerous activities drop dramatically. Kids who play with their families usually get better grades. Step that up a few notches by incorporating educational games into fort building with lessons such as architecture, math, and art. Simply spending time as a family can help them experience better emotional well-being and even reach for higher levels of education.
Third, when families take the time to participate in meaningful activities together, behavioral problems decrease. Children are less likely to act out, particularly in a violent manner. For example, when you all build a fort together, you are working toward a common goal. Everyone has a plan and teamwork brings it to life. Kids learn the benefits of being part of a team and making a dream happen!

BENEFITS OF COMIC BOOKS

For years, it has been a misconception that comic books cannot help children improve reading skills. Because comics are mostly pictures and graphics, people think that it doesn’t equate to reading at all. However, recent studies show that there are benefits in reading comic books and graphic novels.
Inferencing is to read between the lines of a given text. It helps in improving comprehension. Comic books help children understand a concept better because contexts can be visualized. A wall of words doesn’t provide the same kind of luxury as that of a comic book.
One reason why comic books are good for learning is because it increases vocabulary. Comics solidify a meaning of a word because pictures support meaning to words. With inference, faster learning of concepts gives more time to learn other words as well.
Pictures are useful in telling stories, but what is not seen in the picture is what develops a child’s imagination. Also, most graphic artists today grew up reading comic books. We won’t know if your child has an interest in comic book art or drawing if you don’t introduce them to comics.
Comic books have the same elements as other narratives—characters, plot with conflict and resolution, setting, symbolism, theme, point of view, and others. DC comic books, for example, have interconnected storylines and parallel worlds that if you try to read about them all, your head will explode. On the other hand, Marvel comic books give more emphasis on character development of each superhero.
Also, some comics today are based on actual prose novels. Knowing how curious kids can be, this could lead them to read the actual novels to get more content.
Comic books are easily taken as unhelpful for kids because of the fanciness and the colors. What most people don’t see is that comic books also teach positive messages, like helping others, doing one’s best, working as a team, and persevering. For example, Batman encourages normal people to be heroes in their own pace. Superman reminds us that there is always a way to overcome weakness. Daredevil proves that disability is not a hindrance to life. Spiderman gives motivation to those who felt grief.
